2011 Skopje Design Week
The idea behind SDW is to create a memorable creative experience for all participants and visitors. SDW is a design oriented multidisciplinary platform that aims to affirm the cultural industry in the region and stimulate active role in creating a better business, as well as social and political context for developing creative potential. Zero edition of SDW will take place between 28 September and 2 October 2011 in Kurshumli An in Skopje. Further activities to build up Macedonian design base and its exchange with the region and beyond will be organized during the entire year.
The program consists of design exhibition of designers and schools of design, presentations, workshops and concerts.
In the design exhibition were 60 participants from all over the world among which students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Industrial design.
Participants were 20 students from undergraduate and postgraduate studies of Industrial design. The students presented their work through the year with posters and few models.
